    5. Geometry and Measurement
    6. This is an interactive site that has activities for K-5 that include measuring angles, working with symmetry, teaching measures, and how much is it?
    7. Math Cats Convert Numbers New
    8. A helpful sites for students looking to take a given measurement and convert it to another form of measurement. ie… 27m = 88.50 ft., 2700 cm, and 1,063 inches.
    9. Money Experience For Kids!
Outstanding - This site allows three types of games: (It ranges form grade 2 to higher elementary) Making Change - It tells how many of what denomination are required to make a given amount. Spending Money - The student is given a specific amount of cash and presented with a list of items. Their job is to buy things until they have less than $1.00 left. They must not overspend. Piggy Bank Break-in - Add up the money by denomination and determine the total. This is a student activity.
    10. Mrs. Glosser's Math Goodies
This is an interactive site that provides students with the opportunity to practice finding the area of polygons. The site first reviews what polygons (squares, rectangles) are and shows students the formula for finding area (LxW). The site then gives students problems to solve on their own. This is a student activity.
    11. PBS Kids: Cyberchase
Students print a "wacky ruler" and a page of worms.  Using the wacky ruler, (which is missing some numbers,) students measure each of the  worms.  Students can check their answers on the site.  To conclude the activity, students could explain their strategy.
    12. Shape Surveyor
This is a very fun and exciting interactive site. It allows the children to choose their level of difficulty from easy, medium, to hard. There is a choice to compute perimeter, area, or both. It is immediate self-checking and supplies the correct answer. This site is a student activity.
    13. Shape & Space in Geometry
This site provides students with the opportunity to investigate the relationship between the length of a diagonal of a square and one of its sides.
    14. Unit Conversion New
    15. This on-line game gives students practice using their knowledge of converting units in time, mass, volume, area and length.
    16. USMA Commonly used Metric System Units, Symbols, Prefixes New
    17. A teacher reference for metric conversions, examples and relationships among units.
  2. "Find Areas of Geometric Shapes Using Formulas"
    1. Animal Weigh In - Measurement
This site is recommended for 4th grade and up, may even be used with middle school. The site allows students to compare and estimate the weight of animals and gives them several chances before it helps them out. A balance scale activity which has the student drag weights to match the unit given.
    2. Geometry and Measurement
    3. This is an interactive site that has activities for K-5 that include measuring angles, working with symmetry, teaching measures, and how much is it?
    4. Judge and Jury
Students explore non-standard units and compare relative sizes of "steps" in this activity.  They determine how the size of each type of step is important to how many steps it takes to measure an object.
    5. Measure It!
This site is student activity based. Students must look at the ruler and decide how long the bar above it is. It also keeps track of correct/incorrect responses. Students can also choose what level of difficulty they would like to be on. Children must be able to read in order to respond. This site would be appropriate for grades 2-5.
    6. Shape & Space in Geometry
This site provides students with the opportunity to investigate the relationship between the length of a diagonal of a square and one of its sides.
  3. "Understand the Concept of Volume"
    1. About Symmetry and Pattern (Field Patterns)
This site is appropriate for upper elementary grades.  Examples of shapes and letters are shown and how they create patterns and how rotating the letters create a change in the pattern.
    2. Animal Weigh In
This site is recommended for 4th grade and up, may even be used with middle school. The site allows students to compare and estimate the weight of animals and gives them several chances before it helps them out. A balance scale activity which has the student drag weights to match the unit given.
