    1. A+ Math -- Games -- Matho-Geometry Version
      In this site, students can use their knowledge of geometric shapes to play the game called Matho. Appropriate for students in grades 3-5. If the answer is correct the space is filled with an "X", if the answer is incorrect the student is given another shape to find. Immediate feedback is given the student.
    2. A+ Math -- Flashcards -- Geometric Shapes
      Students are shown a specific geometric shape and asked to recognize it from a large list of choices. Immediate feedback is given to the student. Appropriate for grades 3 -5.
    3. About Symmetry and Pattern (Field Patterns)
      This site is appropriate for upper elementary grades.  Examples of shapes and letters are shown and how they create patterns and how rotating the letters create a change in the pattern.

      Outstanding  Excellent geometry site for ages 4 to 11.  Follow the Investigate link for student activities that involve multiple choice questions about familiar regular shapes and irregular shapes.  While students complete these activites, they have access to a shape book that provides drawings and information about each shape.  Click on the bouncing triangle for interactive java activities that allow students to use their knowledge about shapes, symmetry, and transformations.  Follow the teacher link for information about the skills that are covered at this website, along with printable activities and resources.

      Outstanding - Interactive game which asks to give the amount of coins that represent change for $1.00 or $100.00. Graphics are lifelike. (Grades 2-4)

    9. This site is all about geometry and measurement. All of the sites listed on this page are interactive for K-5. They include: Tessellate, Polygon Playground, Shape Cave, and Shape Explorer. This is an outstanding site for a variety of interactive mathematics activites.
    10. Judge and Jury
      Students explore non-standard units and compare relative sizes of "steps" in this activity.  They determine how the size of each type of step is important to how many steps it takes to measure an object.
    11. Making Triangles and Electronic Geoboard
      This is a teacher directed site that would be good for K on up. With teacher direction the child can use an electronic geoboard to make, change, transform and explore shapes.

      This is a very student friendly and fun site. Students build shapes by turning, flipping, and combining others to fill patterns. The site gives clues and encourages children by using positive sayings. Good for children 1st grade through 6th.

    5. Have you ever seen a square bubble? Experiment with bubbles. Create bubble wands out of found objects (straws, pipe cleaners, strawberry baskets and coathangers) and have your own bubble festival.
    6. Coordinate Graphing
      The student will transform a figure on a coordinate grid. The figure may be flipped, rotated, translated, and turned. Grade level 5 and up.

    8. Students can create pictures using and connecting triangles to make geometric shapes by clicking and dragging. There are command buttons that allow you to rotate, flip, clone, and delete shapes. Covers 3rd and 4th grade GLCE

    10. In this project, the children are exposed to symmetry in the familiar form of a kaleidoscope. As an extra bonus, this project recycles materials which otherwise might be thrown away.

    14. This site has a group of pictures that students should think how many lines of symmetry each picture has before clicking on the picture. After clicking on a picture a text box pops up and displays the number of lines of symmetry and also tells which kind of symmetry (vertical, horizontal, or rotational) or none at all. Good for 4th grade.
    15. I Took A Trip On a Train
      This student activity has children looking at a map then taking "snap shots" of the area as if they are passing by on a train. They will then look at pictures from a different position and sequence the pictures to follow the original map. For students grade 4 and up.

    30. This is the online course for MathsNet that covers Transformations. There are variety of interactive activities and it is appropriate for a wide range of grade levels. For example, some activities are a simple as determining if the object is rotating clockwise or counter-clockwise; others are as difficult as determining the new coordinates after a transformation.

    32. This site includes a variety of activities and information that cover reflections, enlargements, rotations and translations. Activities increase in difficulty so the site is actually appropriate for a wide range of grade levels.
       
    33. Quilt Geometry New
    34. Making quilt blocks is an excellent way to explore symmetry. A quilt block is made of 16 smaller squares. Each small square consists of two triangles. Study this example of a quilt block:

    36. Reflective symmetry has the alphabet listed and students are to choose letters that have a line of symmetry, after clicking on a letter students are to choose either reflect vertical or reflect horizontal, next the computer draws the line chosen and shows half in one color and half in a lighter color. A statement appears underneath the letter that agrees or disagrees with your choice. Good for 4th grade GLCE.
    37. Shape and Space in Geometry
      This site allows students to explore their spatial sense by completing a series of activities. During the activities the students use coordinate, symmetry, and measuring to discover the properties of shape and space. This is a student activity, approximate grade level 4-6. Lots of reading to do activity.

      Students will be asked to find the line of symmetry when given a plane fiqure. The computer encourages them to keep trying if they are not correct. There are also many other interactive games to explore.
