1. Calculating Machines Math Puzzles
   This site gives students or teachers grades 7 - 12  information about the history and use of various calculating machines throughout history.  This is a good site for research projects.
2. Charles Dodgson
   This site  gives a short biography of Dodgson the mathematician.  It also gives links to his works, making this a good site for research papers or projects.  This is generally a teacher site, but students could be directed here with some help.
3. Diophantus
   This site is a resource for biographical information on Diophantus.  Provides links for further information, as well.  More teacher oriented, but could guide students through for a research paper.
4. Euclid
   This is an excellent research paper site.  This gives information about Euclid and his work.

   This site gives information about Evariste Galois and his work.  Research paper site.
6. Go Figured - Mathematicians in History
This is a fun site that has a short history of prominent mathematicians including Archimedes, Al-Khwarizimi, and Isaac Newton.
7. Math History Theme Page
This site has hyperlinks to historical information on such topics as the history of pi and ancient geometry to biographies of women mathematicians.
8. Most Popular Biographies of Mathematicians
   This site contains the top 100 biographies of famous mathematicians. There is also a link back to full listing of 1500 biographies on file. This link includes mathematicians as well as scientist.

Collection of math trivia and fun stuff. Share these with your students. Middle and High School level.
10. The Abacus
    This site is a high school level site that gives the history, instructions, and interactive demostration of the abacus.  This would be helpful for a student project or report.
